DIESEL MULTIPLE UNIT TRAIN

Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state:-

(a) whether the Railways have received any proposal from the Government of Andhra Pradesh to run Diesel Multiple Unit Train between Hyderabad, Secundrabad and Miryalaguda;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the action taken by the Railways thereon?

ANSWER

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI K.H. MUNIYAPPA)

(a) to (c) A proposal has been received for introduction of Diesel Multiple Unit services between Hyderabad/Secundrabad and Miryalaguda. The proposal has been examined but was not found feasible due to resource constraints.

(b) Do not arise.
